The cool evening breeze brushed against my face as Kirti and I walked slowly along the lakeside. The setting sun painted the water with shades of orange and pink, making everything look calm... almost unreal. It had been a long time since I had seen a place this peaceful.
I wasn't really looking at the lake, though.
